In the third quarter of 2025, the Maps and Navigation category on Android in Kenya saw significant activity among the top applications. According to Sensor Tower, these apps exhibited varied trends in downloads and active user engagement.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 30.5K in mid-August. The app's active users started at approximately 1.2M and showed a gradual increase, ending the quarter at about 1.4M.

Uber - Request a ride saw a consistent rise in downloads, reaching a high of 22.1K in the week of August 18. Active users grew steadily from 695K to 756K by the end of September.

Phone Tracker & GPS Location showed a decline in downloads over the quarter, starting at 15.5K and dropping to 5.2K. However, active users increased slightly, ending at about 107.7K.

Faras - Request a Ride downloads peaked at 15.8K in mid-August but declined towards the end of the quarter. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, finishing at approximately 318.7K.
